Frequently asked questions
Is the dispute letter free?
Yes. The generator is completely free and nothing you type is sent to our servers — the letter is built entirely in your browser.
How long do I have to dispute a charge?
Under the Fair Credit Billing Act you generally have 60 days from the statement date to dispute a billing error in writing. Sooner is always better.
Who do I send the letter to?
Send it to your bank or card issuer's billing-disputes address (on the back of your statement), and keep a copy for your records.
