Methodology
Aggregated from 33,732 distinct bank-charge descriptors that visitors submitted to TransactionLookup.com's free charge-lookup tool in 2026, each asking “what is this charge?” All figures are counts and percentages only — no personally identifiable information is included, and the example descriptors shown are machine-generated merchant codes, hand-screened to exclude anything resembling personal data. “Unidentifiable” means the charge’s true merchant could not be confidently determined.
